WoW Forever's Druid learns Omen of Clarity and Nature's Grasp from its trainer, gets Improved Mark of the Wild baseline and a new bleed, Lacerate, and finds new talents in all three trees, such as Eclipse, Primal Bite, Berserk and Wild Growth. Night Elves and Tauren keep the class, and the new Skyborne race plays it on both sides: Windshaper Skyborne for the Horde, High Order Skyborne for the Alliance. Here is every Druid change Blizzard announced at its Deep Dive panel and in its September 24 beta notes, with the talent positions and numbers from the beta client (build 1.60.1.70009).

What every Druid gets

  • Omen of Clarity, a Balance talent in Classic Era, is a trainer spell at level 20: your spells and attacks have a chance to grant Clearcasting, which reduces the Mana, Rage or Energy cost of your next damage or healing spell or offensive ability by 100%. Wrath doesn't consume it.
  • Nature's Grasp is trained from level 10 (6 ranks, up to level 58): for 45 sec, the next melee attack that strikes you afflicts the attacker with Entangling Roots. Castable while shapeshifted, with a 1-minute cooldown.
  • Improved Mark of the Wild is baseline, Blizzard says, and leaves the Restoration tree. At rank 7, level 60, Mark of the Wild gives 385 armor, 16 to all attributes and 27 to all resistances for 1 hour.
  • Lacerate is new on the trainer, with ranks at levels 42, 50 and 58: an instant melee bleed for 15 Rage that deals 50 damage over 15 sec at rank 1 and 75 at rank 3, plus 10% weapon damage per existing application. It stacks up to 5 times and causes a high amount of threat.
  • Blizzard's September 24 beta notes raise Wrath's base damage by about 50%, make Thorns scale with the caster's spell power (back to its base values if the caster can't be found or is too far away) and let Rejuvenation and Tranquility land critical hits.

Balance: Insect Swarm at 16 points, Moonkin Form at 31

  • Genesis (0 points in the tree, 5 ranks): Increases the periodic damage and healing done by your spells and abilities by 5%.
  • Nature's Majesty (5 points in the tree, 2 ranks): Increases your critical strike chance with spells and melee attacks by 4%.
  • Nature's Splendor (10 points in the tree, 1 rank): Moonfire and Rejuvenation last 3 sec longer, Regrowth 6 sec and Insect Swarm 2 sec.
  • Insect Swarm (15 points in the tree, 1 rank): moves from Restoration to Balance's new 16-point row. At rank 1 it lowers the target's chance to hit by 2% and deals 48 Nature damage over 12 sec; trainer ranks up to level 60 raise that to 186.
  • Overgrowth (20 points in the tree, 2 ranks): Increases the maximum number of targets you may have affected by Entangling Roots by 2. Spell IDs show it is Improved Nature's Grasp, renamed and moved from 0 points.
  • Eclipse (20 points in the tree, 3 ranks): Your Wrath spell reduces the cast time of your next 2 Starfire spells by 0.5 sec. Stores up to 4 charges. Lasts 15 sec.

Moonkin Form stays the 31-point talent: in the beta it raises armor from items by 360%, makes Omen of Clarity 100% more likely to trigger and gives party members within 45 yards 3% critical strike chance, exclusive with Leader of the Pack. Moonglow and Nature's Reach now unlock at 5 points (20 and 10 in Classic Era), Improved Moonfire drops from 5 ranks to 2, and Natural Shapeshifter moves to Restoration.

Feral Combat: Primal Bite at 16 points, Berserk at 31

  • Heart of the Wild (0 points in the tree, 5 ranks; 25 in Classic Era): Increases your Intellect by 10%, your Stamina by 20% in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form and your Strength by 10% in Cat Form.
  • Feral Swiftness (5 points in the tree, 2 ranks): Increases your movement speed while in Cat Form by 30%, and your chance to Dodge by 4%. Spell IDs show it is Feline Swiftness, renamed and moved from 10 points.
  • Feral Charge (10 points in the tree, 1 rank): in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form, charge an enemy, immobilizing it and interrupting any spell it is casting for 4 sec. The tooltip also shows Feral Charge (Cat), a leap behind an enemy, and the September 24 notes fixed a bug that let it be cast on allies.
  • Shredding Attacks (15 points in the tree, 3 ranks): Reduces the Energy cost of your Shred ability by 18 and the Rage cost of your Lacerate ability by 3. Spell IDs show it is Improved Shred, renamed.
  • Primal Bite (15 points in the tree, 1 rank): Bite the target for 100% normal damage plus 26, for 20 Rage on a 6-second cooldown in the client. The September 24 notes renamed Mangle to Primal Bite: its signature debuff is gone, so the old name no longer fit.
  • Blood Frenzy (15 points in the tree, 2 ranks): every critical strike in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form gives 5 extra Rage, and non-periodic critical strikes from Cat Form abilities that generate Combo Points add an extra Combo Point. The notes say this talent was called Primal Fury earlier in the beta and got back the original Blood Frenzy name and icon.
  • Predatory Instincts (20 points in the tree, 2 ranks): Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your melee abilities by 20%.
  • King of the Jungle (20 points in the tree, 3 ranks): Tiger's Fury now instantly grants you 60 Energy. Tiger's Fury itself is a single rank at level 24 that adds 15% Physical damage for 6 sec, every 30 sec.
  • Natural Reaction (25 points in the tree, 5 ranks): Increases your dodge chance by 5%, and each dodge gives you 5 Rage.
  • Rend and Tear (25 points in the tree, 5 ranks): Increases damage done by your melee abilities on Bleeding targets by 10%.
  • Berserk (30 points in the tree, 1 rank): in Cat, Bear or Dire Bear Form, for 15 sec, Primal Bite strikes up to 3 targets with no cooldown, the critical strike chance of your Combo Point-generating abilities rises by 100%, and Fear effects are cleared and blocked. The client gives it a 3-minute cooldown.

Leader of the Pack moves from 30 points to 20; in Cat, Bear or Dire Bear Form, it gives party members within 45 yards 3% critical strike chance. Savage Fury now unlocks at 10 points (20 in Classic Era), Feral Instinct and Thick Hide drop to 3 ranks, and Sharpened Claws to 2.

Restoration: Swiftmend at 16 points, Wild Growth at 31

  • Naturalist (5 points in the tree, 5 ranks): Reduces the cast time of your Healing Touch spell by 0.5 sec and increases all damage you deal by 5%. Spell IDs show it is Improved Healing Touch, renamed.
  • Gift of the Earthmother (10 points in the tree, 1 rank): Reduces the global cooldown of your Rejuvenation, Swiftmend and Wild Growth spells by 0.5 sec.
  • Swiftmend (15 points in the tree, 1 rank): drops from 30 points to the new 16-point row. It instantly heals a target with an active Rejuvenation or Regrowth for the full duration of one of those periodic effects.
  • Living Spirit (20 points in the tree, 3 ranks): Increases your Spirit by 15%.
  • Wild Growth (30 points in the tree, 1 rank): Heals the target and their party members within 43.5 yards for 280 over 7 sec, quickly at first, then slower. The client gives it a 6-second cooldown, trainer ranks at levels 50 and 60 raise it to 679, and the September 24 notes let it land critical hits.

Nature's Focus now needs no points (5 in Classic Era), Subtlety 5 with 3 ranks instead of 5, and Gift of Nature 10 (20); Natural Shapeshifter arrives from Balance.

What leaves the trees

Balance loses Nature's Grasp and Omen of Clarity, now trained, plus Natural Weapons and Improved Thorns, while Improved Nature's Grasp becomes Overgrowth. Feral Combat loses Feral Aggression and Faerie Fire (Feral), which the beta client doesn't have at all; Feline Swiftness, Improved Shred and Primal Fury live on under new names. Restoration loses Improved Mark of the Wild, now baseline, and Improved Enrage, while Improved Healing Touch becomes Naturalist.
