Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 has 41 enchantments, plus two curses. Here is each one's maximum level, its anvil cost and the enchantments it can't be combined with, all read from the game's own files, followed by what goes on each item and which enchantments never come from an enchanting table.
All 41 enchantments
The anvil cost is the game's own multiplier: an anvil charges it for every level of the enchantment you add, and half of it (at least 1) when the enchantment comes from a book.

The incompatible groups
Seven sets of enchantments exclude each other, so an item can carry only one from each:
- Protection types: Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection and Projectile Protection.
- Damage: Sharpness, Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Impaling, Density and Breach. In practice a sword or spear chooses between the first three, a trident has Impaling, and a mace picks one of Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Density or Breach.
- Silk Touch or Fortune on tools.
- Infinity or Mending on a bow.
- Multishot or Piercing on a crossbow.
- Depth Strider or Frost Walker on boots.
- Riptide, which rules out both Loyalty and Channeling on a trident.

Where to get them
An enchanting table offers every enchantment except the treasure ones: Mending, Frost Walker, Soul Speed, Swift Sneak and Wind Burst, plus the two curses. Villagers can still sell Mending and Frost Walker, at double price like every treasure enchantment, and both can turn up in random loot; Soul Speed, Swift Sneak and Wind Burst can do neither, and only come from specific loot.
Combining them in the right order
Books and items are combined in an anvil, and every item that goes through one costs more the next time. In survival, an anvil refuses any combination costing 40 levels or more and shows "Too Expensive!", so the order matters as much as the books. Our enchanting calculator works out the cheapest order for any item and set of enchantments. What changed in the latest drop is in our Minecraft 26.3 guide.
Each item’s best set, every enchantment at its maximum in the cheapest anvil order, has a page of its own: Netherite Sword, Netherite Pickaxe, Bow, Trident, Mace, Crossbow, Netherite Axe, Netherite Helmet, Netherite Chestplate, Netherite Leggings, Netherite Boots, Elytra, Fishing Rod, and Shears.
