Minecraft circle generator
Thin: one block wide, the blocks joined at their corners — the lightest outline.
56 blocks21 × 21
21 is odd: the centre is one block.

About this tool
Pick a shape and its size: the generator draws it block by block, as you will build it — a thin line, a thick wall with no gap, or filled; an oval of any width and height; a sphere layer by layer, hollow or solid. It counts the blocks and writes out every row, and the plan travels as a link or downloads as an image.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I build a circle in Minecraft?
- Pick the circle’s diameter and its line, then build it row by row from the grid: each row says how many blocks it takes and in which columns. Lay the centre first — one block when the diameter is odd, the corner between four blocks when it is even — and count outward along the stronger line drawn every 5 blocks.
- What is the difference between a thin and a thick circle?
- A thin circle is one block wide, its blocks joined at their corners: the lightest outline, for floors and decoration. A thick circle joins every block by a side, so a wall built from it leaves no diagonal gap for water or a mob to slip through. Filled takes every block inside.
- How many blocks does a circle take in Minecraft?
- A circle 21 blocks wide takes 56 blocks as a thin line, 80 as a thick one and 349 filled. As a rule of thumb, a thin line takes about 2.7 times the diameter, a thick one about 4 times, and a filled circle about 0.8 times the diameter squared. The generator counts the exact number for the size and line you choose.
- Should a Minecraft circle have an odd or an even diameter?
- An odd diameter gives a single centre block, easy to line up with a door, a path or a beacon. An even diameter puts the centre between four blocks, which suits a 2×2 core or a double door. Both are drawn symmetric: choose the one your build is centred on.
- How do I build a sphere or a dome?
- Choose Sphere: the generator shows it layer by layer, from the bottom. Build one layer’s circle, go up a block, build the next. Hollow keeps only the shell, sealed so it holds water; solid fills it — a hollow sphere 21 blocks wide takes 1,082 blocks. A dome is the top half: start from the middle layer, the widest.
