Getting an error in WoW Forever right now? Look at our WoW Forever server status first: it follows Blizzard's posts on the realms as they come out, with each restart and maintenance on your clock, and leads to Blizzard's own list of realms. An error that comes from the servers goes away when they come back, and nothing on your PC fixes it before then.
Below are four login errors of WoW Forever, then two messages of the ruleset screen that carry no code. Each comes with its message exactly as the game writes it (client build 1.60.1.70790), what Blizzard has said about it when it has, and what to do.

WOW51900309: "No realms are currently available."
The game shows it when you choose a ruleset and the servers have no realm of it to offer you. It comes from Blizzard's side, not from your computer: repairing the game, reinstalling it or changing your connection won't make it go away.
Players met it on the Normal, PvP and Roleplaying rulesets during Early Name Reservation, from October 27. Blizzard's Customer Support answered on the forums that the team was aware of it and looking into it, restarted the realms, and said on November 3 that the day's maintenance carried fixes meant to solve it. On launch night, players in Europe reported on Blizzard's forums a ruleset screen with nothing to choose, then this error right after choosing a ruleset.
What to do:
- Look at our server status: during a restart or a maintenance, every ruleset is unavailable.
- If the servers are up, log out, reconnect, through the login queue if there is one, and choose your ruleset again: on launch night, players got past the ruleset screen with nothing to choose that way.
- If only one ruleset fails, another one may work, but a character stays on its ruleset, and groups, mail and guilds don't cross them: create yours where you want to play.
WOW51900337: "Access to this realm requires an account with a valid access license."
The WoW account the game logged into has no access to WoW Forever. One Battle.net account can hold several WoW accounts, which Blizzard calls licenses (WoW1, WoW2…), and only one with access gets in. Before launch, Blizzard's European support explained that the error meant no WoW Forever upgrade had been bought for that license; since launch, it says, an active subscription or Game Time is all the game asks for.
What to do:
- If you have several WoW licenses, the Battle.net app lets you choose one in the menu of game versions and accounts above the Play button: choose the one with your subscription or Game Time. Blizzard's support article for this code also lets you close the error and choose the account in the game itself.
- Check your region: Blizzard's European support asks you to log in to the Battle.net app in the region of your purchase. Clicking your BattleTag shows the region; to change it, log out, then choose the region with the cogwheel on the login screen.
- If an upgrade went to the wrong license, Blizzard's Customer Support advises asking for a refund and buying it again on the right one: when you buy, the shop lists your WoW licenses to choose from.
WOW51900236: "Access to this realm requires an account with an active subscription or game time."
WoW Forever is included in a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time: no edition is needed to play. This message means the WoW license you logged in with has neither. Add Game Time or a subscription to it, or choose the license that has it, as for WOW51900337.
WOW51900333: "This realm's login queue is full and cannot accept more players. Please choose another realm."
The login queue of the realm you chose is full, and the game turns players away instead of queuing them. Try again in a few minutes, and keep an eye on Blizzard's posts on our server status. Another ruleset may let you in now, but your characters stay where you created them.
Messages without a code
Two messages of the ruleset screen carry no code, and the game writes them as follows:
- "This ruleset is temporarily unavailable." The game doesn't let you log in to that ruleset for now. As with WOW51900309, look at our server status, then reconnect a few minutes later.
- "This faction is currently unavailable on this ruleset due to population imbalance." The ruleset is closed to new characters of that faction for now, because it has too many players of it next to the other: Blizzard planned this faction balance for the PvP ruleset. Create your character in the other faction or on another ruleset, or try again later: our ruleset guide explains the choice.
Still stuck?
Blizzard posts its known issues in its World of Warcraft: Forever - Info & Known Issues thread, which our launch day article follows. If your account, region and subscription are right and the error stays, open a ticket with Blizzard Support and give it the exact code.
