WoW Forever is live. World of Warcraft: Forever opened its servers on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST (23:00 UTC), the same moment in every region. Blizzard's article World of Warcraft: Forever Now Live! went up at that very minute, the time its community manager Kaivax had confirmed the same day (launch time). Here is what the first hours look like: realms and queues, the known issues and Blizzard's fixes, and what to do first, updated through the night.

Realms and queues
Since the servers opened, the forum posts of Blizzard's community managers say nothing yet about realms or queues (00:05 UTC on November 5).
Four rulesets open at launch, Normal, PvP, Roleplaying and Roleplay-PvP, with Hardcore later. Groups, mail and guilds don't cross them: agree on one with your friends first (realms and rulesets).
Our Server status page follows Blizzard’s posts on the realms, and can notify you when the realms of your region open, close for a maintenance or an outage, and open again.
Known issues and fixes
Blizzard's Customer Support opened its World of Warcraft: Forever - Info & Known Issues thread at 23:21 UTC. At 00:05 UTC on November 5, its list of known issues is still empty: Blizzard asks you to report any bug in its Bug Report forum and to update your addons, and links its technical troubleshooting guide.
Your first hour
- Your first screen: before the ruleset, the game asks you to choose an Experience Preset, Classic or Enhanced. Blizzard suggests Enhanced if you are not sure, and each of its settings can be changed later in the Options (what each preset turns on).
- Your language: Blizzard suggests checking the game's language settings when you first log in: if one isn't in your language, change it, then log out and back in (Kaivax, November 4).
- Reserved names: the characters you created during name reservation, up to three, are waiting on their ruleset (name reservation).
- Where you start: Skyborne characters begin on Zephras Isle, the others in their race's usual starting zone. Our Skyborne guide covers the new race.
- Your talents: plan your first points in the talent calculator, set to the levels the game has open. Blizzard's notes of November 2 rework talents in all nine classes: what changes, class by class says which changes are already in the game's files and which are only announced, and the calculator follows the client Blizzard serves in the Americas and Europe.
- The road onward: the leveling route takes you zone by zone from your starting zone.
- Professions: pick two early; our professions list what each needs and where to train.
- Your first dungeons: dungeons gives each one's level range, bosses and quests, now with boxes to tick.
What comes next
The new raids open on December 9, and the Warcraft Forever Collection stays on sale until January 11, 2027. Every date of the launch is in our release date guide, which keeps a dated list of what changed.
