A Twitch drop for WoW Forever's launch started on November 4 at 4:30 p.m. PST (00:30 UTC on November 5). Until Thursday, November 12 at 4:30 p.m. PST, four hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams earn the Pouch of Violet Dust, a toy that turns a campfire purple: every camp benefit then lasts 1 hour longer, 2 hours in all, for everyone resting at that camp. Blizzard's post, Set Your Campfire Ablaze with the Pouch of Violet Dust!, calls it ephemeral: it works only in WoW Forever, during the WoW: Forever Launch Celebration, which ends in early December.

How to get the Pouch of Violet Dust
Four steps, before November 12 at 4:30 p.m. PST:
- Link Twitch to Battle.net. On Battle.net's Connections page, click Connect next to Twitch and sign in to Twitch. If you changed your password or your Twitch or Battle.net account since you linked them, link them again; after a new link, you wait 7 days before you can link a different Twitch account.
- Watch four hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams while the drop is active, on any channel of Twitch's World of Warcraft category. You can switch channels without losing your progress, but watching several at once doesn't count faster. Drops work in a web browser on PC or Mac and in the Twitch app for Android and iOS, not in the Twitch apps of consoles and smart TVs.
- Claim it on the channel you are watching, or in Twitch's Drops Inventory. A drop claimed while no Battle.net account is linked expires 7 days later.
- Log into the right region. The toy goes to the first Battle.net region you log into after claiming it, and can take up to 24 hours to reach your characters.
On YouTube, link your Battle.net account in YouTube's Connected Apps and watch the official World of Warcraft channel for the whole four hours: the reward then comes on its own, with nothing to claim.
Who can get it. Twitch drops are open in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and YouTube's rewards in the same regions and Korea. The toy needs a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time, and it is for WoW Forever only: Blizzard's post rules out the Classic games and modern World of Warcraft.
