Not at launch, and nothing official yet. As of September 27, 2026, neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI, which comes out on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Take-Two's CEO keeps saying that PC matters more and more to the company, but he has never given a PC date.
What the November 19 launch covers
Take-Two's pre-order announcement of June 24, 2026 names two platforms, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the standard edition at $79.99. It lists four places to buy the game (the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and retailers). There is no PC edition to pre-order, and Rockstar has said nothing about carrying a console copy, or its progress, over to a future PC version.
The same release restates Take-Two's strategy of hit entertainment "delivered on every platform relevant to our audience", without saying whether PC will be one of them for GTA VI, or when. Our release date guide covers pre-loading and launch times, and our guide to the two editions what the Ultimate Edition adds.
What Take-Two's CEO has said about PC
Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two's CEO, has been asked about GTA VI on PC several times, and has never given a date.
- February 2025. In an interview published by IGN on February 10, he said: "With regard to others in our lineup, we don't always go across all platforms simultaneously. Historically, Rockstar has started with some platforms and then historically moved to other platforms." He added that the PC version of a multiplatform game can bring in 40% of its sales.
- May 2026. Speaking to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, in comments reported by GamesRadar+ on May 4, he said that "with regard to a big title, PC can be 45, 50% of the sales", then: "Rockstar always starts on console because I think with regard to a release like that you're judged by serving the core." Asked whether a reported marketing deal with Sony was the reason, he answered "No", adding: "I mean, historically Rockstar's gone to console first."
- September 2026. At a Take-Two shareholder meeting on September 17, Zelnick answered a question about "the cadence of PC launches", according to GamesRadar+: the company's strategy is, "over time, generally speaking, to launch for any platforms for which there's a meaningful audience", and "the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time."
None of these is an announcement: Rockstar's games start on console, and Take-Two's general rule, which Zelnick says has exceptions, is to reach every platform with a meaningful audience over time.
