Frequently asked questions
- Is GTA 6 out yet?
- Not yet. GTA 6 comes out on Thursday, November 19, 2026. The first store opens it at 11:00 UTC on November 18 (New Zealand), the last at 06:00 UTC on November 19 (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua).
- What time does GTA 6 unlock?
- At midnight local time in each country, as the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store list it, so the hour depends on your store. For example: United Kingdom, 00:00 UTC on November 19, France, 23:00 UTC on November 18, United States, 05:00 UTC on November 19, and Brazil, 03:00 UTC on November 19.
- Does GTA 6 release at the same time worldwide?
- No. Each store unlocks it at midnight in its own country: 15 moments over 19 hours, first in New Zealand, last in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua.
- When can I pre-load GTA 6?
- From November 12, a week before release, for digital pre-orders. Rockstar hasn't given the time or the download size yet.
- Can I play GTA 6 earlier with a New Zealand account?
- Only with a second copy, bought on an account registered in the first country to open it (New Zealand). Sony and Microsoft expect an account's country to be the one you live in, and a pre-order on your own account unlocks at your store's time. Our release-time guide has the details.
