Brew it from Awkward Potion + Blaze Powder: it gives Strength (3:00). With Redstone Dust, it lasts 8:00. With Glowstone Dust: Strength II, for 1:30.

A splash potion gives the full time where it lands, and less up to 4 blocks away. A lingering potion leaves a cloud that gives 1/4 of it, a tipped arrow 1/8.

  • Nether Wart

    • Grows on Soul Sand in Nether Fortresses, and turns up in their chests. Plant it to grow more.
  • Blaze Powder

  • Redstone Dust

  • Glowstone Dust

    • Makes a potion stronger (level II), for a shorter time.
    • Dropped by: Witch.
    • Mined from: Glowstone.
  • Gunpowder

    • Turns any potion into a splash potion, to throw.
    • Dropped by: Creeper, Ghast, and Witch.
  • Dragon's Breath

    • Turns a splash potion into a lingering potion: a cloud that gives 1/4 of the time.
    • Collected in Glass Bottles from the Ender Dragon’s breath.
