A Roblox gift card is redeemed in a web browser, at roblox.com/redeem: the standard mobile app and consoles can't do it, only the Samsung Galaxy version of the app. Most cards add Roblox Credit in your account's currency, which you then spend on Robux or on a subscription such as Roblox Plus; a few cards give Robux directly. Here are the steps, what to do when a code won't go through, and what Roblox's terms say, from its help center.
How to redeem a gift card
- Go to roblox.com/redeem in a browser.
- Log in to your Roblox account.
- Enter the code in the text box.
- Click Redeem.
- A confirmation message appears once the credit or item is added to your account.
On a Samsung Galaxy device, the Roblox app has a Redeem tile on its More page. Everywhere else, including the regular iPhone and Android apps and consoles, you need a browser: redemption isn't available there.
Credit, Robux and the extras
- Most cards become Roblox Credit in your account's currency. A card bought in another country works too: its value converts automatically when you redeem it.
- Amazon and Party Packs gift cards give Robux only, not Credit.
- Credit buys Robux and other Roblox services, such as a Roblox Plus subscription, which can be bought with gift card credit straight from the redeem page.
- Cards don't expire, and there are no inactivity or service fees, according to Roblox's gift card terms in the US as in France, Spain and Brazil.
- Extras: a card can come with a free virtual item and a code for a bonus item, limited to one of each per account per month, and redeeming can bring up to 25% more Robux, depending on how many Robux you buy with the credit.
- One card at a time, in full: you can redeem as many cards as you like, one after the other, and each is used entirely. Your balance shows at roblox.com/redeem.
- Under 18, the terms require a parent's or guardian's consent to redeem a card.
