AION 2's global version opens on October 5 at 13:00 UTC, free to play on Windows PC only, through Steam or NC's own launcher, PURPLE. Here are the system requirements NC lists on the game's Steam page, and what they mean for your PC. The launch time where you live, the servers and the coupon code are in our launch guide.
Minimum and recommended specs
Minimum

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit

Each tier comes with a note: at Full HD (1920 × 1080), NC tells a minimum-spec PC to use the Very Low graphics preset and a recommended-spec PC the Low preset, to ensure compatibility. The game runs on Unreal Engine 5, in a world NC says is 36 times larger than the first AION's.
What it means for your PC
Windows only, 64-bit. There is no Mac or Linux version, and NC does not officially support Linux or the Steam Deck.
100 GB of free space, for both tiers, and an SSD is recommended for both.
DirectX 12 is required: every graphics card NC names supports it.
An AMD card for each tier, on NC's translated pages. The English Steam page names only the NVIDIA cards; the French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese and Simplified Chinese pages add an AMD Radeon RX 470 for the minimum and an RX 5700 XT for the recommended tier. No Intel graphics card is listed.
The recommended tier is for Full HD at the Low preset, by NC's own note: higher presets and resolutions will ask for more.
Steam or PURPLE
Both launchers install the same game and connect to the same servers. Linking a Steam account and an NC account is optional, unless you want the same character on both. The game is free, with an optional monthly membership; our guide to the Daeva Pass covers what the paid pass adds.
Languages and controllers
The interface and subtitles are in English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Korean, with voices in English, Japanese and Korean. A controller works but is not officially supported.
