AION 2's first Halloween event opens with the maintenance of October 14 and runs until the maintenance of November 4, NC announced in its patch notes. It pays in Halloween Pumpkin Coins, earned from a 14-day attendance and from weekly event missions, and spent at a Coin Merchant in each faction's towns, where 250 of them buy a skeleton breastplate skin. Here is when it ends, what each step gives, and whether the coins cover the whole shop.

NC's weekly maintenance starts on Tuesday at 11:30 PM Pacific time: on October 28, that is 06:30 UTC, and on November 4, with the US back on winter time, 07:30 UTC. Our weekly maintenance countdown shows it in your own time zone.
How many Pumpkin Coins you can earn
The attendance. The Trick or Treat attendance, in the in-game menu under Attendance, pays 35 coins a day for 14 days, and 100 on days 7 and 14: 620 coins in all.
The weekly missions. Ten event missions appear under Season Mission, in the Event tab. Each one pays once a week per server, as NC's table says:

That makes 235 coins a week. The event covers three weeks, so the missions give up to 705 coins, and the event as a whole up to 1,325.
What the coins buy
The Coin Merchant stands in Verteron for the Elyos, at the Dawn Legion Base and in Zumion Village, and in Altgard for the Asmodians, at Safe Haven and the Nornir Assembly.

The Special Halloween Chest holds the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin (Bound) and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. The Halloween Candy gives Attack 25, Defense 250, Max Stamina 300 and Natural Stamina Regen 40% for 5 minutes; the Halloween Cookie gives Max HP 500, Max MP 250, Max Stamina 300 and Natural Stamina Regen 40%, for 5 minutes too.
Is it enough for everything? Buying every weekly item each week for three weeks costs 774 coins, the chest 250 and the per-character items 80: 1,104 coins. A level-45 character who claims all 14 attendance rewards and does every mission each week earns 1,325, enough for the whole shop, with 221 coins left for Superior Power Shards. Below level 45, the Odyle Energy and the Lower Abyss Rift Stones stay out of reach.
Candy Keys
Expedition and Transcendence dungeons also give Candy Key Fragments. At Substance Morph, 60 fragments make a Red, a Yellow or a Blue Candy Key, each once a week per server, with a 100% success chance; a single fragment also makes 10 Superior Power Shards. The keys open the candies placed around the towns:

Each candy also holds 5 Halloween Candies and 5 Halloween Cookies. NC doesn't say how many fragments a dungeon gives.
Conquerors of the Abyss and the transfer weeks
Until the maintenance of October 28, the Shop sells an Abyss Rift Stone (Event) for 50,000 Kina, up to 7 per character a week from level 45, under Wind Breeze Merchants, in the Special tab.
During the server transfer period, that tab changes too:
- Odyle Energy (Bound) can be bought 20 times a week per character instead of 4, and its weekly cap of 16 per server is gone;
- the Lower Abyss Rift Stone is on sale there for two weeks;
- the Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon (Bound) and the Soul Crystal (Bound) move to Substance Morph, under Special, Wind Breeze Merchants.

Also in the October 14 patch
- Abyss. The longest Abyss entry time you can bank becomes 7 hours, and two weekly Abyss season missions, spending an hour in the Abyss and defeating the Boss Guardian Lord Nahma, now give Abyss Entry Stones. Stuttering in large Abyss battles is reduced.
- Class fixes. The Spiritmaster's Summon: Ancient Spirit now uses its skills properly at level 15 and below. The Sorcerer's Fire Wall and Cold Storm apply their bonus damage across a difference in elevation, and another player's stronger Embers or Frostbite no longer removes yours; Bittercold Wind's Frost cooldown reduction works across a difference in elevation too.
- Crashes and settings. NC fixed a crash at certain refresh rates on 4K monitors, wrong graphics settings on PCs with two graphics cards and longer loading times with FSR. Graphics settings are no longer saved to Steam Cloud. New options invert the Y axis and show or hide HP bars.
- Halloween items in the Shop, until November 25: three armor skin sets (Monarch of Blood, Midnight Witch, Midnight Slasher) at $29.99 each, a Halloween Night weapon skin for each class at $11.99, two pets (Pumpkin Carriage, Little Ghost) and the Spider Wings at $19.99, and helms and face decor at 300 Quna each.
